Hi

I’m an academic philosopher working in Dublin. I am a recent Research Ireland/IRC Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Research Fellow in TCD’s Philosophy Department.
My research expertise is in the history and philosophy of science and mathematics. Within this, I have worked extensively on infinitesimal calculus in the early modern period, mathematical approaches to philosophy, and the work of George Berkeley. I also have recent journal articles on the ethics and philosophy of science relevant to infant-feeding recommendations, 19th century philosophy of geometry, and the relationship between early modern philosophy and speculative fiction. I write regularly for The Irish Times and have published numerous popular philosophical essays at Image Magazine, The Philosopher’s Magazine, and History Ireland Magazine.
This website contains information about me and links to my work. I can be contacted here.
